Obituary of Adelaido Mills

Adelaido B. Mills, Jr. was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico on December 19, 1940, he was the second child of the late Adelaido Mills, Sr. and the late Julia Valentin. The family later moved to New York, New York and eventually to Bridgeport, Connecticut. While living in Bridgeport Adelaido enjoyed many sports and participating in local baseball and bowling leagues. He was an avid boxing, Mets, and Patriots fan. During his early years in Bridgeport, Connecticut Adelaido worked at The Ductile Foundry of Stratford, Connecticut and later The Bodine Corporation of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Adelaido leaves to grieve: his devoted wife of over 40 years, Annie Mae Mills; son, James D. Mills and his wife Deborah, Durham, NC; daughter, Andrea L. Mills of Durham, NC; daughter, Melody D. Voyak and her husband David Voyak, Sr. of Naugatuck, CT; son, Paul James and his wife Laura of Plainville, CT.; son, Edward James and his fiancé Tonilynn Collins of Bristol, CT.; daughter, Barbara Miller of Middletown, daughter, Deborah James and her husband, Ritten of Middletown, CT.; son, Jerry James; 23 Grandchildren; 28 great Grandchildren; brother, Luis Valentin of Bridgeport, CT.; sisters, Noelia Santana and her husband Julio of Florida; Gladys Gerrado of New York; Lucy Salcedo and her husband Jose of Alaska; several nieces and nephews. Adelaido was predeceased by: his sister, Carmen J. Beltran, son, Elijah James and grandson Steve L. Perez
