Obituary of Elides Montalvo

Elides Montalvo, age 73, of Bridgeport passed away into the Heavens above on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT; Elides was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Montalvo and the late Joaquina Marquez.  He is the husband of his beloved wife Carmen E. Montalvo; Elides had owned a business at one time on East Main Street but retired after 17 years as a bus driver for the Greater Bridgeport Transit.  In addition to his wife, Elides is survived by one son, Elides Montalvo, Jr. and his wife Raquel of Shelton; His daughters Alinette Monteiro of Oxford, CT and Nivia Rodriguez and her husband Orlando of Wallingford, CT; His grandchildren David, Cristina, Arianna, Emelio, Evan, Devin and Derek; his brothers Luis Montalvo and Rene Montalvo; His sisters Patria, Elga, Maria, Lilly, Lucia, Aida, and Tata; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, January 31, 2016, from 5-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
