Obituary of Antonio Ramirez

Antonio "Toñin" Ramirez, age 81, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on August 7, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. Antonio was born in Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area since the 1950's where he resided since. He was a member of St. Mary's Church since he moved to Bridgeport and has been a member of the Grupo Santo Nombre for many years. He Loved spending countless hours fishing and enjoyed quality times with his family. He is survived by his sons Juan A. Colon and His wife Maria Colon, Hector L. Ramirez and his wife Madeline Nancy Ramirez; his daughters Carmen V. Ramirez Hernandez and her husband Luis A. Hernandez and Antonia Ramirez Hernandez and her husband Juan Hernandez Jr.; His grandchildren Chenille, Jennifer, Joel, Virginia, Christie, Jason , Heidi, Yesenia and Hector; and four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport; Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 10, 2012 at St. Mary's at Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M.
