Obituary of Luis Y. Colon

Luis Y. Colon Rivera, age 14, currently of Bridgeport passed away into the Glorious presence of the Lord suddenly on December 24, 2015 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Luis was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico to Solmarie Rivera of Bridgeport and Hector Luis Colon Santini of Waterbury before recently locating just a year ago to the Bridgeport area. He attended Luis Muñoz Marin School and Most recently Harding High School where he was currently enrolled as a Freshman; He enjoyed playing volleyball, spending time with his friends and social media such as facebook and Twitter. Truly a terrible loss of a young man with a heart of Gold; In addition to his parents Luis is survived by his brother Brian Rivera and Hector Colon; Maternal Grandfather Luis Rivera of Texas; Paternal Grandparents Rosa Santini and Hector Manuel Colon of Puerto Rico; In addition his friends Manuel Tosado, Brian Rivera, Hector Colon, Carlos Cardenales and Ernesto Figueroa whom have been with the family every step of the trecherous way; He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Sol Estrella Berrios; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a service in the Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.
