Obituary of Jose M. Santiago

Jose M. Santiago, age 90, passed into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2015. He is the beloved husband of Ignacia Santiago. Jose was born in Manaubo, Puerto Rico to Emelio and Maria Santiago prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He served as a pastor at the Primera Casa de Oracion, a church he founded. Jose loved to sing and play the guitar, but his true passion was working and spreading the Word of God. He is the loving father of Aida Alicia Rosado (Justino), Dimaris Garcia (Angel), Samuel Santiago (Felicita), Elliot Santiago, Margarita Leso (Andrew), Jose Santiago, Priscila Santiago, and Dan Santiago (Melissa); and the caring grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his grandsons Justin Rosado and Joseph Rosado. Friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6-9 P.M. at the Iglesia Pentecostal Primera Casa de Oracion, 42 Laurel Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Wednesday 10 a.m. at the Iglesia Pentecostal Primera Casa de Oracion. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
