Obituary of John Sherry

John Sherry, age 81 of Stratford entered into eternal rest on December 17, 2015 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Mildred Sherry. He was born in Bridgeport, son of the late John and Helen Sherry. John served our country with the US Army, and later was employed as a dock worker for Spector / Redball Motor Freight. He is the loving father of Linda, Roland, Sheila, Shirley, and Richard; the caring grandfather of Phillip, William, Alexis, Anthony, Mildred, and Julie; and the adoring great grandfather of Cassidy, Ella, Ava, Hayley, Isabella, Jaycen, and Haylee. John is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends that will sorely miss him. He is predeceased in death by his granddaughter Melissa Jaiman and his sister Dolores. Friends are invited to attend calling Hours on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 10 A.M.-12:30 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 1 P.M. at St. Andrew Church. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
