Obituary of Carmelo Torres

Carmelo Torres, age 68, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. He was the beloved husband of Sonia Torres. Carmelo was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico to the late Jesuse Torres and the Iriada Morales. He is survived by his son Danny Torres; his daughters Zoraida Torres, Daisy Torres, Lisandra Torres, Carmelita Torres, Iris Torres, Valeria Torres, and Melissa Poitier; his siblings Hector Torres, Idalia Torres, and Regina Torres; twenty three grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends that will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services have been schedule for Monday, December 21, 2015 starting at 10:00 a.m at the Funeral Home. His interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
