Obituary of Hernan Pabon Olivares

Hernan Pabon Olivares, age 69, of Bridgeport passed away into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, August 5, 20123 in Cambridge Manor, Fairfield, CT. Hernan was born on October 12, 1942 in Medellin, Colombia but had relocated to the United States many years ago. He is the beloved son of the Late Ramon Pabon and the Late Maria Pabon. Hernan studied Music in the Instituto de Bellas artes in Medellin and received a degree as a Musical arranger and composer. He was employed as a drum player in various musical groups: Los Yetis, El Conjunto Miramar and Los Black Stars for various years before relocated to New York City. Soon thereafter he moved to the city of Bridgeport where he resided for his remaining years. He was diagnosed with Cancer in 2010 and had been treated and fought the courageous battle since then. His passing has left a huge void in the hearts of his siblings Ligia Pabon, Humberto Pabon, Blanca Hunt, Dario Pabon, Jairo Pabon and Luz A. Ramos; In addition to his siblings Hernan is survived by his nephew Jonathan Pabon whom Hernan considered his own son; one niece, Jessica Maria Ramos; and many friends whom he had throughout the years such as William Cruz, Jaime Yepes, Freddy Pabon and Juan David Corrales; He will be sorely missed by all; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( Peaceful Light funeral Home), 426 E.
