Obituary of Jose A. Rivera

Jose A. Rivera, age 58 of Waterbury, entered into eternal rest suddenly on October 25, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Beatriz Padro. Jose was born in Barranquitas, P.R. son of Luis Rivera and Emerita Aponte prior to relocating to the Waterbury area many years ago. He was employed as a Maintenance Mechanic at Bridgeport Housing, where he dedicated 30 years of service. He is the loving father of Gabriel Rivera and Javier Rivera; the adoring grandfather of Janielys Rivera; and the caring brother of Luis, Hector, Manolo, Orlando, and Antonio Rivera. Jose is also survived by many relatives and friends that will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Interment will take place in Puerto Rico on a date to be decided.
