Obituary of Gilbert Rosa, Sr.

Gilbert Rosa, Sr., age 84 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on October 19, 2015 at Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT. He was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, son of Pedro and Isabel Rosa.He is survived by his beloved wife Dora Rosa. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his children Gilbert Rosa, Jr., Carmen Isabel Rosa, Jenny (Ricardo) Alicea, and Sam Rosa; cherished grandson Jarrad Rosa; and a host of relatives, and many close friends who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased be his sons Peter and Manuel Rosa. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at The Funeraria Luz De Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), located on 426 E. Washington Ave. in Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow at Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, located in Easton, CT. Please sign our online register book.
