Obituary of Rafaela Morales

Rafaela Morales, age 82, of Bridgeport passed away into the glorious presence of the Lord on October 1, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Rafaela was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico before relocating to Bridgeport at the age of 20 years old. She was beloved wife of Jose D. Morales. She is the daughter of the late Miguel A. Maldonado and the late Aurora Guzman. She is survived by her son John M. Morales; her daughters Nancy A. Oquendo, Evette Humphries (Johnny), Cynthia E. Marrero (Edwin), and Doris M. Martinez (Rafael); seven grandchildren Jocelyn Marrero, Meghan Amaya, Caitlin Amaya, Jillian Marrero, Brittney Martinez, Brandon Humphries & Ryan Martinez; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 p.m. from 7-9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services have been schedule for Wednesday, October 7, 2015 starting at the Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine's Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
