Obituary of Maria Hortencia Gonzalez

Maria Hortencia Gonzalez, age 70, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful glorious presence of the Lord on August 10, 2015 in Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT. while surrounded by her family. Maria was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is survived by her daughter Marisol (Joseph) Gonzalez Acosta; her sons Miguel (Ruth) Rodriguez, Jose Gonzalez, Juan (Minerva) Gonzalez, David (Jacqueline) Rivera, and Edwin (Vicky) Gonzalez; her sister Carmen Gonzalez; twenty grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, September 14, 2015 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport; A Service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home, and interment in Park Cemetery will follow right after the service.
