Obituary of Francisca "Paquita" DeJesus

Francisca "Paquita" DeJesus, age 95 of Bridgeport, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport. She was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Julio and Marta Cotto Ocasio prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Paquita was a skilled seamstress, who was passionate in her love of Jesus Christ. She was also a great lover of music and loved to write poetry. Her passions of writing and music live on in her grandchildren. Francisca is the loving mother of Dan DeJesus (Ana Maria) and Alma Orduz (Vladimir), and the caring grandmother of Sergio DeJesus, Alexa Orduz, and Vidal Orduz. She is also survived by many friends who will sorely miss her. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport. CT. Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, 2015 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by her interment in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
