Obituary of Maria Magdalena Vasquez

Maria Magdalena Vasquez, age 102, of Bridgeport, returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord, on Friday July 17, 2015 at her residence. She was born in the Dominican Republic, daughter of Luis Tobias and Eusebia Taberas prior to relocating both herself and her children to the United States many years ago. Maria is the loving mother of Diogenes, Demostenes, and Fernando Vasquez; and the loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her sons Sosimo and Rafael Vasquez. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2015 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Parish at 10a.m. Interment will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
