Obituary of Consuelo Rivera

Consuelo Rivera, age 74, of Bridgeport passed away into the glorious presence of the Lord on June 29, 2015 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Stratford, CT. Consuelo was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico before relocating to the Connecticut area many years ago. She is the daughter of the late Jose Rivera and the late Celia Rivera. She is survived by her son Juan J. Romero "Pete"; her daughters Nancy Garcia and Dulce Ruiz; her siblings Ismael Rivera, Julia Cuevas, Udelia Ramos, Guzmel Martinez, and Virginia Colon Lopez; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services have been schedule for Friday, July 3, 2015 starting at 12:00 p.m. directly at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
