Obituary of Dulce Maria De La Rosa

Dulce Maria Vega-DeLaRosa, age 88, passed away peacefully to join the Lord on June 25, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin F. Vega Sr. Dulce was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico to the late Jose DeLaRosa and Calendaria Valle prior to relocating to New York in 1946. She also lived, worked and raised her family in CA and CT. Dulce is the loving mother of Dulce Nieves and Sali Borres; the caring sister of Noemi DeLaRosa and Ida Torruellas; and the adoring grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her son Edwin F. Vega, Jr.; and her siblings, Elba Vega and Francisco DeLaRosa. Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 5-7 P.M. at the Funeria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
