Obituary of Luz Nery Burgos

Luz Nery Burgos, age 68, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ponce, P.R. to the late Bienvenido Burgos and Cristina Ruiz prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Luz is the loving mother of Wanda Torres and Jeannette Torres; the adoring grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and the caring sister of Norma, Carmen, Gladys, Sylvia, Ruben, Angel, Antonio, Carlos, and Robert. She is also survived by several family members and friends that will truly miss her. Friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her service is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery in Bridgeport.
