You were an exceptional friend which I had the privilege of calling my sister from another mother. For so many years we shared not just a working desk, we shared laughter, we shared families, afternoon joe, great cooking, and your passion for Puertorrican cuisine...memories that will last me a lifetime. I am thankful to God for having you in my life and for Calvin and your brothers to allow me to share you with my family.You were courageous. You were kind. You were determined. A true fighter. You were defined by your works on this earth not your sickness. You were a loving and supportive wife. Blessed to have your soulmate as a husband who cared for you 'in health and sickness'. Johanna, you will be missed enormously, although we met just a bit over 4 years, I am grateful that GOD gave my husband and I the privilege of meeting a remarkable Woman. I can only remember the joy the day you and Calvin decided to travel to DR and we met, without a doubt that was a remarkable experience. We shared so many thoughts and experiences with you and better yet the happiness in knowing you were part of our family was more than an honor. The relationship Grace and you shared was and will always be admirable.
Calvin, your dedication, your love and devotion towards Jo during her illness, reflects the goodness of your heart. I am certain Johanna will watch over you like an angel. I pray that GOD comforts you, and the rest of your loved ones. May our dear Sis rest in peace and may her MEMORY live forever in the hearts of all of us that truly loved her.
