Grampa Camacho's memory will live on through his cherished granddaughters and grandson, in addition to his great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Camacho was blessed with a joy filled life. He will be remembered lovingly for his kind ,jolly, and fun nature. Though he came form very humble beginnings, Camacho had a classic presence, easily delighting in conversation with friends and strangers alike. He enjoyed reading, sports but especially lively political talks. In his early years, Camacho worked with The Bridgeport Brass Company for 25 years. He then owned and operated “Dolly’s Candy Store” and "Cabo Rojo Fruits and Vegetables” with his wife Gladys in the 1970’s. He then later worked with the Greater Bridgeport Transit District (GBTA) as a driver before fully retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Remesa East and Sunset Shores Adult Day Center. Camacho was most passionate about family, love of God and his native Puerto Rico, returning to enjoy the lovely winters surrounded by family and his Domino game buddies. A heartfelt thanks is expressed to Camacho’s exceptional care team of many years, Dr. Irwine Feitzieg, Dr.Peter Yannapoulous, Dr. David Witt, Dr. Nicholas Viner, the staff at Sunset Shores. We most especially thank the Bishop Wicke Rehab Center staff in returning Primitivo’s physical and spiritual quality of life the past two weeks; to his longtime loving caregiving companions Ana Castillo, Ivette Caceras, Jenny Cruz, Mr.&Mrs. Luis Carratini, and Marina Taveras.
