Obituary of Lydia Maldonado

Lydia Dolores Maldonado, age 73, of Stratford passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on May 6, 2015 in her home while surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of the late Felix Santiago and the late Ester Ortega. She has been a longtime Stamford resident, but most recently of Stratford. She is survived by her daughters Nereida Soto and Maritza Soto from Stratford; her brother Roberto Cortes; her sisters Digna Santiago and Carmen Guadalupe; her grandchildren Tiffany Lugo and Eddie Rodriguez and Kelly Jaramillo;her great grandson baby Ethan; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will miss her dearly. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Funeral Services have been schedule for Tuesday, May 12, 2015 starting at the Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's church, 566 Elm St., Stamford. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Stamford.
