Obituary of Margie Brown

Margie M. Brown, age 73 of Bridgeport entered the pearly Gates of Heaven on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT; Margie was born in Eagle Rock, North Carolina, but had relocated to the Bridgeport area over 50 years ago. Margie is the daughter of the late Herman Hall Sr. and the late Maggie High; Margie is survived by six daughters; Sheila Scarborough, Cheyenne Brown-Taylor, Natha Brown, Theresa Brown, Karen Brown and Kim Powell; two sons; two sons Ronald Brown, Douglas Brown. Her brothers Walter Hall, Val K. Mangum, Lorenzo (Sweet) Mangum and Bob Mangum, Alphonso Mangum; one sister Dorothy Mangum. Twenty-Three grandchildren, 38 great great-grands and 2 great-great grands. And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her. Margie was predeceased by her loving companion Mannie Lee Garvin, late son Tommie Austin, her grandson the late Herman Brown; her sisters the Lucille (Polly) Scarborough and Mattie Helen Coley and one brother Herman Hall Jr. Friends may attend calling hours on Monday, July 2, 2012, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
