Obituary of Juan Villanueva

Villanueva-Juan L. Villanueva, age 75, of Bridgeport passed into the Peaceful arms of the Lord on July 16, 2007 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico before moving to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the son of the Late Juan C. Villanueva and the late Margarita Villanueva; He had been employed in the Public Works Department for the City of Bridgeport for many years before he retired. He is survived by his Sons Juan L. Villanueva Jr., Gilbert Villanueva, Wilfredo Villanueva and Richard Sawbroski Villanueva all of Bridgeport; Daughters Elizabeth Sanchez, Marilyn Peppers and Ivette Villanueva all of Bridgeport; his faithful companion of many years Ana Ortiz and her children Jessica, Sheyla, Howard and Betty all of Bridgeport; his brothers William Villanueva of Puerto Rico and Pedro Villanueva of Monroe, CT; his sisters Irma Villanueva, Luz N. Martinez and Maria Ines Valle all of Bridgeport; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; Along to his parents he was also predeceased by his son John Sawbroski; He will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2007 beginning at 9:00 A.M. At the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, (TODAY) July, 18, 2007 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
