Obituary of Monserrate Villafañe

Monserrate Reyes de Villafañe, age 81, of Bridgeport passed into peaceful rest on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Bridgeport Manor while in the company of her beloved family. Monserrate was a native of Ponce, Puerto Rico before moving to Bridgeport many years ago. Nothing brought more happiness to her than to see her family together and united at family events. She was the mother of 27 children of which she is survived by 15, her sons Jose Luis, Erasto, Anderson, Salvador, Mariano, Lauro, Santo, William and Ramon Villafa"e; her daughters Edereida, Olga Iris, Juana, Migdalia, Lillian, and Monserrate Villafa"e; 90 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives and friends whom will sadly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 26, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY in the funeral home followed by interment in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
