Obituary of Guillermina Velez

Guillermina Velez, age 75, of Bridgeport passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in her home. Guillermina was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the Late Ramon A. Olivera and the Late Maria Feliciano; She is the beloved wife of Rafael Velez whom she married over 50 years ago. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons Luis Velez, Wilfredo Velez and Edgar Velez; Her daughters Aida Gonzalez, Olga Santiago, Janet Moreno and Norma Suarez; grandchildren, great grandchildren relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2009 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter's Church. interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT ; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 16, 2009 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
