Obituary of Camilo Torres

Camilo Torres, age 75, of Bridgeport passed into eternal rest of the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Camilo was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico but moved to the United States at an early age of 17. Camilo was employed at the Bridgeport Plating Company for over 40 years and the Automated Plating Company for 15 years before retiring. He was an avid Yankees Fan; He enjoyed listening to music played by talented guitar players, playing dominos and pool on the Family Sunday Gatherings; He is the beloved husband of Agustina Ramos. He was the beloved father of six sons, Jose Torres and his wife Maria, Angel M. Torres, Camilo Torres, Hector L. Torres, Norberto Torres and his wife Elizabeth and Victor Torres and his soon to be spouse Geraldine Sepulveda; one daughter Zaida Hampton and her husband Joel; wonderful grandfather to seventeen grandchildren Diana, Lisa Migdalia, Mary Lynn, Jessica, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Norberto, Christine, Angel, Victor A. Victor II, Christian Crystal, Erika and Amanda; an exemplary great grandfather to thirteen great grandchildren; dear Brother of, Angel Torres, Jose Torres, and Ismael Torres, Suzanna Torres, Idalia Torres, Margarita Ortiz and Carmen Hernandez; he was also survived by a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his son the late Juan A. Torres; Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2009, beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (la Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church; interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, April 5, 2009, from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
