Obituary of Rafael Solano

Rafael Solano, age 57, of Bridgeport beloved son of the late Jose R. Solano and Luz Arroyo Colon and her husband Pedro Colon, passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in his home while surrounded by his loving family. Rafael was born in Queens, New York and moved into the Bridgeport area since the early age of 16; He enjoyed singing, playing the Congas and spending great times with family and friends and Seaside Park. He is Survived also by his Beloved wife of almost 31 years Norma I. Solano of Bridgeport whom he married in 1978. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Jessica Solano of Stratford; his brothers Jose Solano and Hector Solano; his sisters Denise Solano and Esmaelen Mercado; his grandchildren Leila Hensley, Kimo Hensley Jr. and Aidan Lopez; his best friend and Cousin Hector Sanchez and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. In addition to his biological father, He was predeceased by his brother David Solano and his Niece Solangel Solano; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, April 24, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad), 426 E.
