Obituary of Geralda Serrano

Serrano-Geralda Serrano, age 96, of Bridgeport passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family. Geralda was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico but moved into the Bridgeport area over 60 years ago. She is the daughter of the late Jose A. Garcia and the late Anselma DeJesus. Geralda is survived by her sons Alfredo Serrano and Pedro Ortiz both of Bridgeport; her daughters Betty Lizardo of the Domincan Republic, Elizabeth Serrano and Maria Lopez both of Bridgeport; her brothers Jose A. Garcia, Benigno Garcia, Luis Garcia and Julio Garcia; Sisters Esperanza Garcia and Emilia Garcia; twenty three grandchildren thirty seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; She will be tremendously missed by all; Funeral services for Geralda will take place on Monday, November 19, 2007 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in ST. Peter’s Church; interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, November 18, 2007 from 4-6 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
