Obituary of Aurea Fuentes

Aurea Fuentes, age 84, of Stratford passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on Monday, June 4, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT; Aurea was born in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, to the late Daniela Fuentes. She had relocated to the United States many years ago along with her family. Aurea was a wonderful woman who was devoted to her family and passionate about her work. She worked at S.A.D.A. and Remesa where she provided excellent service, care and attention to the elderly, and currently still was part of the Luis Muñoz Marin school where she blessed so many as a foster grandmother. Aurea had an unparalleled love for life and everyone around her. She is survived by her sons Ramon Martinez and his wife Rosemary and Daniel Maldonado; daughters Carmen Garcia, Sonia Williamson and her husband Larry all of Bridgeport and surrounding areas; sixteen Grandchildren; fourteen Great grandchildren and two Great-Great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by her sons the late Jose Maldonado and the late Rafael Martinez and her grandson the late Johnny Centeno; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. it will take place at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
