Obituary of Laura Ruiz

Laura Ruiz, age 80 of Bridgeport the beloved daughter of the Late Pablo Ruiz and the Late Monserrate Alvaran passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2008 in Bridgeport Healthcare Center while surrounded by her loving family. Laura was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico before moving into the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is the dear mother of two sons Jorge Gonzalez and Leonardo Gonzalez both of Bridgeport; three daughters Blanca Cedeño of Stratford, Elizabeth Gonzalez of Puerto Rico and Marilyn Melendez of Bridgeport; In addition to her children she is survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren who will dearly miss her. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad ), 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in ST. Mary''s Church; interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport; The Family invites friends to attend calling hours on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
