Obituary of Luis Rosado

Luis Rosado, age 73, of Bridgeport, passed into peaceful rest on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at St. Vincent''s Medical Center. Luis was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico, before moving here more than 50 years ago. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was the son of the late Clemente Rosado and the late Isabel Mercado. He participated for many years in the Seaside Softball league in the 1960s. He enjoyed parrandear and sing traditional Puerto Rican music. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Rosado. He is survived by his sons, Edwin Rosado, Angel Rosado and Hector Rosado; his daugthers, Evelyn Ferrao, Elizabeth Sanchez and Edna Iseppi; his brother, Luz Rosado; sisters, Angelina Rosado, Modesta Rosado and Felicita Rosado; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday (Today) July 12, 2006 at 9 a.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. George''s Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
