Obituary of Isabel Rodriguez

RODRIGUEZ Isabel Rodriguez, age 81 of Bridgeport, passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at St. Vincent''s Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family. Isabel was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico before moving into the Bridgeport area many years ago with her family. She was the daughter of the late Juan Rivera and the Late Tomasa Maldonado. She is survived by her partner, Marcial Medina; her sons, Serafin Rodriguez and his wife, Lydia Ayala and Ramon Rodriguez of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Ana M. Rodriguez, Manuel Robles, Ramon Rodriguez, Milagros Rodriguez, Lydia Rodriguez and Tania Rodriguez; two special people who were part of her life, Janet Cosme and Elba Cruz; and a host of other friends and relatives who will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by her son, Manuel Rodriguez. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2008 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, March 21, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
