Obituary of Alejandro Rodriguez

Alejandro Rodriguez, age 81, of Bridgeport passed into the eternal peaceful life of the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2008 at Bridgeport Hospital. He is the beloved husband of Teodora Rodriguez; Alejandro was born in Lares, Puerto Rico before moving to Bridgeport in 1954; He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was loved by many. He was a seasonal resident of Cayey, Puerto Rico; He retired from Bryant Electric in 1987; He was a great Domino Player and loved the New York Mets; In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons Rafael Rodriguez and his wife Rose, Jerry Rodriguez, Willie Trujillo and his wife Nilsa, David Trujillo and his wife Ronda, Johnny Trujillo and his wife Anna, Jose Franco and his wife Neomi, Evangelio Franco and his wife Bernice and Carlos Franco and his wife Vilma; his daughters Iris Rodriguez, Jennie Muñiz and her husband Hector Marilyn DeLeon, Leticia Harris and her husband Butch III, Evelyn Rodriguez, Janet Lucena, Mary J. Lucena, Annie Lucena, Julia Rivera and her husband Wilfredo and Elba Rodriguez; 52 grandchidlren and 25 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, November 6, 2008 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad ), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church. Interment will take place in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Alejandro's Name.
