Obituary of Benita Rivera

Rivera Benita Rivera, age 94, entered into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Northbridge Health Care Center with her family by her side. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, but has been a longtime resident of Bridgeport. She is the daughter of the late Juan Rivera and the late Bartola Rosado. She is survived by her sons Jaime Rivera, Juan Rivera , & Ricardo Rivera of Santurce, Puerto Rico, & Roberto Rivera of Bridgeport, CT; Her Daughters Olga Rivera Calderas of Orlando, Florida, Maria Rivera of Bridgeport, CT, Carmen Rivera Nieves of Orlando, Florida, and Elba Rivera Rodriguez of Bridgeport, CT. She leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She will truly be missed by all. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 2, 2006 from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave. in Bridgeport; Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2006 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home followed by interment in Park Cemetery.
