Obituary of Shirley Rivera

Rivera, Shirley Rivera, age 50, beloved daughter of the late Faustino Rivera and Maria J. Rivera of Bridgeport, passed into the eternal rest of the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2009 in Bridgeport Hospital. Shirley was born in Bridgeport and was a lifetime Bridgeport Resident. She was a talented Hairdresser for the past 20 years and was most recently working at SOKO’s Hair Salon; In addition to her mother she is survived by her sons Santos Ortega of Stratford, CT and Luis A. Rivera of Bridgeport; Her Brother Roberto Rivera and his wife Theresa of Devon; Sisters Judith Rivera and her husband Bernard of Trumbull, CT and Josephine Rivera of Bridgeport; her grandchildren Elijah J. Ortega of Florida and Isaiah C. Ortega of Bridgeport; and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, April 18, 2009 beginning at 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad ), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
