Obituary of Edelmira Reyes

Reyes-Edelmira Reyes, age 80 of Bridgeport, the beloved widow of the Late Juan Reyes passed away peacefully into the rest of the Lord on April 3, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Edelmira was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico before moving into the Bridgeport area many years ago. She has been a member of St. Charle''s Barromeo Church for many years where she was part of the Legion de Maria and Daughter''s of Devine Mercy.she leaves to survive her, one son Emilio Rivera and his wife Carmen of Stratford; Daughters Susie Rivera and her husband James Maiden of St. Petersburg, Florida and Juanita Reyes and her husband Robert of Bridgeport; Grandchildren Danny, Leonard and Eddie Rivera, Verity Rollins, Lee, Janelle, Joshua and Jose Alvarez; several nieces and nephews and many friends of her family from St. Charle''s with special Mention of Don Pablo and Doña Rosa who were there for her each day. She was preceaded by eleven brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed and truly a now missing Jewel from the St. Charle''s Barromeo Church and Bridgeport''s East Side. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 7, 2008 from 6-9 P.M. at St. Charle''s Barromeo Church; a Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Church. interment will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. Directly at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport; an Online registerbook has been established for anyone to share their thoughts and prayers with the family of Edelmira and can be found at www.luzdepaz.com. The Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., member of the Order of The Golden Rule, has been given the honor to provide services for Edelmira and may be contacted if any further information is neeeded.
