Obituary of Severiana Otero

Otero-Severiana Otero, age 68 of Bridgeport, passed into peaceful rest on Saturday, September 30, 2006 in St. Vincent''s Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family. Severiana was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico to the late Jose Hernandez and the late Oliva Hernandez before moving to Bridgeport many years ago. She was a member of the Primera Casa de Oracion for many years where she will always be remembered as one whom was always willing to help and participate in whatever way possible. She is the wife of Rafael Otero of Bridgeport; Along to her husband she is survived by her son Victor Butte and his wife Cathy; her daughters Mildred Tomassini and her husband Alexander, Evelyn Butte, Lizzie Cora and her husband Carlos, Migdalia Zayas and her husband Raul and Vangie Meszoros and her husband James all of Bridgeport; her brothers, Frank, Heriberto, Ismael Hernandez and Osvaldo Muñiz; her sisters Elena Torres , Martina Velentin and Ana Luz Vializ; ten grandchildren & nine great grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews, Christian Brothers & Sisters, relatives and friends whom will sadly miss her. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 beginning at 11:00 A.M. DIRECTLY at the First House of Prayer ( Primera Casa de Oración, 42 Laurel Avenue, Bridgeport, CT followed by interment in Park Cemetery; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 from 6 P.M. until end of service DIRECTLY at the church. The Funeraria Luz de Paz/Rodriguez Funeral Services, 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport has been given the honor to provide final services for Severiana;
