Obituary of Mercedes Nieves
Nieves-Mercedes Nieves, age 73, of Bridgeport passed into peaceful rest on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico before moving to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is survived by her son Orlando Nieves; daughter Chamissie Nieves; grandchildren Anthony Anton, Aisha Nieves, Gisselle Nieves and Brandon Niees; and a host of friends and other relatives whom will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 22, 2007 from 9-10:45 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Georgeâs Roman Catholic Church; Interment will follow in Park Cemetery; Please sign our online registerbook
