Obituary of Francisco Matos

Francisco Matos Jr. , age 61, currently of Tampa, Florida passed away suddenly in the University Community Hospital, Tampa, Florida. Francisco was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico but had lived in the Bridgeport area many years before relocating to Tampa, Florida; Francisco was an avid fan of the Yankees and while he lived in Bridgeport played on many baseball teams especially Camuy, at Winfield Park. Francisco is survived by his sons Francisco Matos III of Bridgeport and Scott Elliot (Matos) of Ansonia; His daughter Elizabeth Matos and her fiance Eluriah Barfield of Bridgeport; his brothers Jose Matos and Samuel Matos; sisters Awilda Matos Torres, Lydia, and Milagros Cabrera; step brother, Cristobal DeJesus; stepsisters Anita Ortiz & Gladys DeJesus; Stepson, Angelo of Tampa, Florida; Stepdaughter Erbera of Tampa, Florida; Grandchildren Francisco Matos IV, Rosalie Matos, Laiza Aponte, Mark Corriete, Ovidio Marquez III and Nakila McKnight & Lianna, Taliana, Emily, Lisa, Angelys, Jasmina & Xiara. great grandchildren Francisco Matos V, Gialee, Jaylee ; his long time companion Edith Matos of Tampa, Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 6-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( La Funeraria de NUESTRO Pueblo ), 426 E.
