Obituary of Jose Cortez

Jose M. Cortez, "Cholo", age 56, of Bridgeport a lifetime Bridgeport resident passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Monday, February 14, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital while surrounded buy his loving family. Jose is the son of the Late Abraham Cortez and the late Alejandrina Nunez; He is survived by his "Kitty" who he considered like his child. his daughter Maria Alvino of Bridgeport; brother Miguel Barreto; sisters Ana Castro, Carmen Cortes, Ramona Arteaga and Maria D. Cortes; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( la Funeraria de NUESTRO Pueblo), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport; Final disposition will be at the convenience of the family.
