Obituary of Patricia Morgan
Patricia Louise Morgan, currently of Hamden, CT, was 63 year old when she passed. Born in 1949 in White Plains, New York of Edward and Louise Morgan, she was always a curious child who would rather read and discover than play all day. She marveled at and respected nature which developed into a love of science. She later studied marine biology at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. Patricia's love of learning new things and education was passed down from an intellectual mother who also loved to read and learn about different cultures, languages, arts and cuisines. Patricia could be seen at any given time with her nose in a book or in the New York Times. In her 20's Patricia became a mother of LeAnne Anissa Morgan to whom she poured all of her love, life and energy into. She vowed from the time LeAnne was in her womb that she would raise a happy child. She spent a lot of time with LeAnne, reading to her, teaching her new things, singing to her and playing with her. LeAnne had a beautiful childhood and always felt loved. Patricia enjoyed opera, the philharmonic, Broadway shows, movies, travel, fitness and laugher. Patricia loved to talk to people. She talked to everyone, whether you were the busboy, doorman, waitress, CEO or doctor, she gave everyone the same respect and time. Patricia took the time to read about different cultures and countries; she cared about the world around her. Patricia wanted to live in a world where people put kindness first. She really cared about her fellow human being and animals too. We are all God's creation she would say, every living being deserves to be treated kindly. Patricia loved cooking, knitting, sewing, crafts and baking. Her greatest joy was to bake for others such as friends and her daughter. She frowned on cooking from box; everything was cooked or baked from scratch even down to her own icing. Patricia was a woman who really stopped to smell the roses; she questioned everything, took her time to learn something or about someone, relished every detail and took in every moment. She and her daughter traveled together, had girl's night often, took day trips or simply chatted over tea or wine. She often said that she loved her daughter and was blessed to have raised her best friend. Patricia is gone from us physically but lives on spiritually in every person she touched and through the love of her daughter and loving memories with family and friends.
