America Garcia, age 81, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT; America was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro Garcia and the late Lorenza Rodriguez; America is survived by her husband Ignacio Colon, sons Luis R. Colon, Jorge I. Colon, Miguel Colon, Carmelo Colon, Pedro Colon and Luis A. Colon; Daughters Norma I. Allen, Alma I. Cabrera, Evelyn Perez, Awilda Colon, Carmen Lugo and Zulma Rivera; brothers Ruben Negron and Jose Negron; 35 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her.
