Obituary of Alvin Rivera

Alvin Rivera, most recently of Waterbury, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury. He was born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico; son of Tito Rivera and Lucila Nieves. Alvin, an avid fisherman, relocated to the Connecticut area many years ago. He is the loving father of Alvin Isaac Rivera and Melvin Rivera; the caring grandfather of 2 grandchildren; and the brother of Angel Rivera, Jose Rodriguez, Maria Gusto and Milly Nieves. He is predeceased in death by his brother, Baltazar Rivera. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608 followed by a service at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. His interment will follow directly after at Park Cemetery.
