Obituary of George Marquez

Marquez-George Marquez, age 52, currently of Derby, CT but a lifelong Bridgeport resident passed away suddenly on July 2, 2017 in Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT; He is the son of the late Ladislao Marquez and the late Ramona Cruz; George was a gentle soul and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at events and even without; George didn't need a reason to spend an afternoon with ya just having a refreshing drink and shooting the breeze. He was employed for over 30 years at the Fermont Division; He is the husband of Darlene Marquez whom he married over 20 years ago. George is the father of one son Christian Marquez; one daughter Jacqueline Marquez; He is also survived by one brother, John Marquez and his wife Nancy; three sisters, Ramona and Rosemary Marquez and Elizabeth Morales; In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by one son the late George Marquez Jr.; Friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT; Interment will take place on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.
