Willie....It has been 7 weeks since off you went into the wild blue yonder. Today I find myself thinking about you and all the things you meant to your families and friends. You are sorely missed my friend.
In your memory, from our great Air Force song:
"Here's a toast to the host
Of those who love the vastness of the sky,
To a friend we send a message of his brother men who fly.
We drink to those who gave their all of old,
Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold.
A toast to the host of men we boast, the U.S. Air Force!"

Sorry to hear of Willie's passing. He was a good man. I met Willie along with other fellow retired military when we took classes at the VoTech Center in Fort Walton Beach. He was always so great with computers and helped out the instructors quite a bit! He will be missed!

I served under his leadership during the Gulf War with the 58 TFS. I was a young airman then fresh out of tech school. Willie was an honorable man and I am proud to have served with him and our team while I was in service. I kept in contact with Willie through the years and had the opportunity to meet up with him in 2015 on a reunion trip to Florida. It was an honor seeing and talking to him. He still drove that red Volkswagen Scirocco too! Wow! I will miss this man but I know he is in Heaven watching over us always. RIP Willie. Gorillas forever!

Willie, it's almost unimaginable to think of a close and lasting friendship of 42 years, but from the first time I saw you at Camp New Amsterdam at the BX and I tapped you on the shoulder because you were wearing a Bullard Havens Jacket I knew we would become best friends. My heart is empty to think of losing you, but I will never lose you in my mind since I'll be thinking of all the moments we had together....whether it was in Holland or being my BEST man, trips to FLA, holiday times and plenty of phone conversations. I will cherish every moment and you will always be my best friend forever! I wish I could tell all the stories of our time together, but its endless. Thank you for teaching me the gears and riding with me when I visited you in 2012....that's what gave me the bug to ride !! In your memory I will ride 65 miles on September 9th for the Smilow Closer to Free ride and I will continue to ride each year with you in mind!! You will never be forgotten!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad and difficult time.
Your best friend, Charlie

My heartfelt and most dearest condolences to the Ayala family. May God give you all that inner peace we all need to continue as we grieve the passing of my brother in Christ, Willie. 9 years together in grammar school, 4 years in High school, and on the day you left to the armed forces, that morning I met you at the airport where I was also leaving. You served proudly and I thank you for your dedicated service. Your unselfish and second to none commitment to this country will never be forgotten. Thank you my brother and may you be enjoying the fruits of your labor in Paradise. Rest In Peace.
