Obituary of James Earl Dixon

James Earl Dixon, age 76, of Bridgeport passed away on May 29, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT, while surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Susie Dixon. James was born in Greenville, North Carolina to the late David Dixon and Almeta Dixon, before relocating to the Connecticut area where he resided since. He is survived by his daughters Lola White-Ager (Darryl) and Laverne Riddick (Donald); his sisters Addie Hopkins (Ray), Louise Dixon, Dorothy Mae (Bay) Harrison, and Mary Tyson (Sam); his brother Clinton Earl (Bauldy) Dixon; his brother-in-law Clifton Earl Moore (Margie); his four grandchildren Sharon Riddick, Kassandra Riddick, Brianna White, and Lauryn White; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT. A service will commence at 1 p.m. and end at 1:45 p.m at the Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
