Obituary of Rosa M. Colon Rivera

Rosa Colon Rivera, age 77 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 15, 2017 at her residence in Bridgeport, CT. She was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of the late Jeronimo Colon and Esther Burgos. She is survived by her sons Fidel Merced, Guillermo Rivera Ocasio, and Orlando Rivera; her daughters Isarai Rivera, Carmen M. Rodriguez, Rosa M. Rodriguez, Marisol Rodriguez, Ivelisse Rivera Ocasio, and Maribel Rivera; her siblings Raquel Ortolaza, Heriberto Serrano, Luis Colon, Jorge Ortolaza, Aida Flores, Auria Ortolaza, and Orlando Burgos; thirty grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2017 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by her interment at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
