Obituary of Carla Berberena Gerena

Carla Berberena Gerena, age 98 most recently of East Haven, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Talmadge Park Healthcare, East Heaven, CT. She was the beloved wife of the late Federico Gerena. Carla was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico to the late Damaso Berberena and Franasca Gerena. She is survived by her sons Victor Gerena, Socrates Gerena, Adan Gerena, and Balaam Gerena; her daughters Julia Gerena, Nelly Gerena, Rebecca Gerena, Raquel Gerena, Lea Gerena, Blanca Gerena, Angelina Gerena, Diana Gerena, Margarita Gerena, and Carlita Gerena; her siblings Benita Berberena, Candido Berberena, and Eliveria Berberena; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Friends are invited to join the family for calling hours on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Manantial de Vida Church, 855 Grand Avenue, New Haven, CT. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 2017 starting with a 9:00 a.m. service at the Manantial de Vida Church. Her interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T Grasso Blvd, New Haven, CT.
