Obituary of Carlos Manuel Zayas

Carlos Manuel Zayas, age 62 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico; son of the late Maximino Cedeño Garcia and Luz Maria Torres Ortiz. Carlos is the loving father of Tierra Mourning, Tanesha Mourning, Andrew Garcia and Randy Simmons; the caring brother of Gladys Rivera, Maria Garcia, Evelyn Garcia, Nell Garcia, Migdalia Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, Alfredo Garcia, and Efrain "Frankie" Garcia; and the adoring grandfather of 14 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth "Kaytee" Garcia. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. His interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
