Obituary of Aida Avila

Aida Avila, age 76, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 in St. Anthony Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida where she lived for the passed 21 years. Aida was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico and moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut in her early teens. There, she met the love of her life, Jesus Manuel Avila. They were married 27 years, until death parted. Aida relocated to FL. She was the daughter of deceased parents, Amador and Matilda Lizasuain. Aida leaves 3 siblings,Noelia Lancaster, Americo Lizasuain and Angel Vasquez and in-laws, George, Maria, Martha and Monin. She was exemplary mother to 4, Celestino, Jesus, Estervina, Daisy and their spouses Abby, Wanda, Robert and Pedro (deceased) which all live in Florida. She was mother to all and we were all her children. She was amazing grandmother to 7, Tony, Melody, Chris, Alexis, Lissette, Jeff and Lauren. Spouses which were her added grandchildren are Lisa, Tierra, Jefferson and Genevieve. Aida was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, Mariya, Naya, Trinity, Amelia, Isaiah, Sarah, Jj, Alijah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. Aida also leaves Angela, Rosa, Maria, Celestino, Ramon, Mercedes, Raul and Gladys which were her siblings through marriage, as well as a numerous amount of nephews and nieces. Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport. CT. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Saturday, Decemeber 10, 2016 starting at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield. CT.
