Obituary of Gladys Rivera

Gladys Rivera, age 75 of Bridgeport, returned to the loving arms of the Lord suddenly on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Luis Rivera. Gladys was born in Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Pedro Berrios and Felicita Colon prior to relocating many years ago. She is the loving mother of Rolando Almaguer, Amalia Santana, Marinette Rivera, Maritza Williams, and Felix Rosario; the caring grandmother of 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Gladys is also survived by many other family members and friends that will sorely miss her. Friends and family are invited to attend Calling Hours on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. A Funeral Mass is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, 25 Sherman St, Bridgeport. Her interment will follow at Park Cemetery,620 Lindley St., Bridgeport.
